Responsibilities
- Define and implement a sustainable data strategy that supports long-term business goals
- Lead the design and ongoing development of the enterprise data infrastructure, including data ingestion, processing, storage, and access
- Build, manage, and grow a high-performing data engineering team while setting technical standards and delivery best practices
- Develop and maintain comprehensive data governance policies covering data ownership, quality, lineage, metadata, and stewardship
- Ensure system reliability, security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness across operational and analytical workloads
- Enable business teams to use trusted data independently through self-service analytics tools and clear documentation
- Collaborate with senior leaders to identify key data projects and convert business needs into technical plans
- Implement structured delivery methods, prioritization models, and operational frameworks that balance short-term demands with platform longevity
- Assess, select, and deploy appropriate technologies, cloud services, and third-party tools as needed
- Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making by increasing data fluency and setting organizational best practices
- Clearly communicate technical progress, risks, and business value to executives and non-technical audiences
- Support artificial intelligence and advanced analytics efforts by delivering reliable, well-structured data pipelines
