We’re building the next generation of intelligent photo editing tools, and we need a strategic, hands-on leader to guide our computer vision efforts. As Head of Computer Vision, you’ll define the long-term technical roadmap, train billion-parameter foundational models from the ground up, and ensure research breakthroughs translate into real-world product advancements.
What You’ll Own
- Set the technical direction for computer vision and generative AI at scale, aligning research with product goals
- Lead, grow, and mentor a team of machine learning engineers and researchers, fostering a culture of technical rigor and innovation
- Design and refine a research-to-production pipeline that accelerates iteration while maintaining scientific excellence
- Diagnose and resolve complex model training challenges, from data bottlenecks to convergence issues
- Build evaluation frameworks that push beyond current industry benchmarks
- Act as the key technical liaison between machine learning, engineering, product, and commercial teams
- Recruit top-tier talent and help shape a globally competitive vision team
Who You Are
- You have led machine learning teams in product-driven environments for at least five years, with proven success in strategic planning and technical mentorship
- Your expertise spans computer vision and generative AI, with direct experience training large-scale diffusion models
- You’ve trained billion-parameter models from scratch and understand the full lifecycle of foundational model development
- You’ve scaled teams beyond eight members, with a track record of hiring, coaching, and retaining technical talent
- You thrive in cross-functional settings, able to translate deep technical work into business impact
- You can dive into code, identify performance issues, debug training failures, and guide engineers through technical complexity
How We Work
This role is remote-friendly for candidates within a three-hour flight of Paris, with monthly in-person collaboration. We offer relocation support up to €10,000 and visa sponsorship for those moving to France.
