Lead the automotive market strategy for a fast-growing AI hardware company at the forefront of edge computing. As Head of Automotive, you will define how advanced AI acceleration technology enters and scales within the automotive industry, working directly with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and technology partners.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and manage strategic relationships across the automotive ecosystem, including vehicle manufacturers, component suppliers, semiconductor collaborators, and research organizations.
- Represent the company in EU-funded initiatives and industry consortia, ensuring alignment between project goals and business objectives.
- Lead engagement in technical forums and standards bodies to influence the direction of automotive AI and ensure compatibility with future regulations.
- Respond to customer inquiries, RFIs, and RFQs by coordinating cross-functional teams and presenting technically grounded, market-relevant solutions.
- Create positioning materials and market narratives that clearly communicate the value of AI acceleration in automotive applications.
- Identify and launch pilot programs or joint development efforts with key industry players to validate and scale technology adoption.
- Author Market Requirements Documents that translate real-world automotive needs into actionable product direction, with emphasis on functional safety and system reliability.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to shape roadmap priorities, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262, ASIL levels, and automotive-grade design principles.
- Convert insights from customers and partners into strategic product differentiators and long-term growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years in the automotive technology space, with direct experience in semiconductors, embedded systems, or AI/ADAS development within OEM or Tier 1 environments.
- Deep familiarity with automotive electronic architectures, safety-critical systems, and standards such as ISO 26262 and ASIL classification.
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that span technical development, business strategy, and external partnerships.
- Track record of launching new technologies into automotive markets or building ecosystems around emerging platforms.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.
- Self-driven mindset with experience in shaping early-stage business units and driving momentum without rigid structures.
