Responsibilities
- Set up, roll out, and configure server and networking equipment across data environments.
- Participate in rotating shifts or on-call rotations to maintain continuous service availability.
- Swap out failed or outdated components in servers and network devices while keeping asset records accurate.
- Support network issue resolution by diagnosing and replacing faulty cabling infrastructure.
- Ensure system uptime by promptly addressing and escalating support tickets as needed.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact during incidents, coordinating with engineering experts for resolution.
- Deliver on-site technical support for various operational initiatives and build strong working relationships with clients, teams, vendors, and internal groups.
Requirements
- Proven experience troubleshooting server hardware, including boot processes such as POST, BIOS, PXE, IPMI, and BMC.
- Understanding of network protocols like TCP/IP and Ethernet, along with hands-on familiarity with network hardware including cabling, switches, routers, and console access.
- Working knowledge of Linux system administration.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with GPU-based server platforms such as H100, B200, and GB200.
- Hold a diploma or professional certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and stay organized in dynamic, ambiguous, and fast-moving environments.
- Experience engaging with vendors or supporting projects and programs.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on clarity and precision.
