Responsibilities
- Possess 5 to 8 years of experience as a lead electrical engineer designing VoIP, conferencing, mobile, or tablet hardware.
- Lead system-level schematic reviews and collaborate with mechanical engineers on stacking diagrams and with PCB layout engineers on board design.
- Partner with audio and mechanical engineering teams to resolve radio performance issues and work alongside signal integrity and DQA engineers to validate features and ensure product quality.
- Evaluate design margins and recommend improvements based on design for manufacturing, assembly, and cost principles.
- Maintain and review schematics and bill of materials for accuracy and consistency.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, conduct testing, and record results to ensure full coverage across project requirements.
- Track and report project progress and critical issues to internal stakeholders.
- Analyze and assess competing products through teardowns to inform design strategies.
- Contribute to the hardware architecture and system design of VoIP solutions, including ATAs, IP phones, and voice-integrated access control systems.
- Design and implement audio subsystems involving CODEC, I2S, SLIC/SLAC, analog amplification, echo cancellation, and noise reduction technologies.
- Integrate key communication and audio interfaces such as Ethernet/PoE, USB, SPI, UART, I2S, and TDM.
- Collaborate with software teams to develop, integrate, and debug audio drivers, HAL layers, and power management on Android/Linux platforms.
