Responsibilities

  • Monitors machine efficiency and crew performance
  • Reports progress, issues, and concerns to supervisory staff
  • Completes all assigned tasks within production timelines
  • Verifies incoming materials upon arrival
  • Sets up pockets according to specifications
  • Removes unused materials from active work areas
  • Performs additional duties as required
  • Applies advanced troubleshooting and conducts routine maintenance to enhance machine output and quality
  • Supports team members when operational demands require assistance
  • Coordinates team activities and assigns tasks efficiently
  • Executes all assigned responsibilities accurately
  • Provides training and development for team personnel
  • Reviews output for accuracy and reports discrepancies
  • Checks print consistency and bundle integrity
  • Adjusts equipment settings to resolve quality issues
  • Tracks waste levels and implements actions to minimize spoilage and duplicate output
  • Keeps precise records including safety checks, output rates, labor metrics, and other required logs
  • Relays personnel-related concerns to management
  • Shares critical updates with operators, supervisors, and incoming shifts
  • Performs other assigned functions as needed

Responsibilities

  • Monitors performance of machine and personnel
  • Ensures that goals are being met and issues are communicated to Supervisor and/or Production Technician 3 Lead
  • Completes all work assignments during production
  • Checking in material
  • Pocket set-ups
  • Move material offline that is no longer needed
  • Other assignments as necessary
  • Applies advanced troubleshooting skills and performs basic maintenance on assigned machines that improve quality and performance
  • Assists crew members when needed
  • Organizes crew activities and delegates assignments
  • Performs assigned duties
  • Trains and develops all crew members
  • Monitors product quality for correctness and report when errors occur
  • Monitors print and bundle quality
  • Make adjustments as necessary to correct quality issues
  • Monitors product waste and take steps to reduce or eliminate spoilage and doubles
  • Maintains accurate record keeping IE: safety audits, packages per hour, labor hours per thousand and other logs or forms
  • Communicates personnel issues to the Supervisor or Production Technician 3 Lead
  • Informs other Operators/Supervisors of pertinent information and communicates to other shifts as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to work overtime, beyond regular schedule, to complete work assignments as required
  • Carry up to 15 lbs
  • Push and pull up to 40 lbs
  • Twist, stand, walk, reach, and grip/grasp throughout the shift
  • Frequently lift up to 15 lbs
  • Squat and kneel
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne dust, paper particles, and industrial lift trucks
  • May be required to wear hearing protection in high-noise environments
  • Weight requirements may vary by location
