First Heritage Federal Credit Union is looking for a Graphic Designer I to visually communicate our brand positioning through mass communications and advertising campaigns. In this role, you will design all publication work for paid and non-paid marketing programs and provide creative art for print materials like display ads, direct mail, and collateral.
What You'll Do
- Assist with the creation, editing, and updating of graphics, illustrations, and other visual materials for web, social media, email, print, and internal communications.
- Assist with the production of creative and engaging short-form video content and simple animations for social media, website, and internal use.
- Work collaboratively with the marketing team by participating in creative discussions, implementing feedback, and providing technical design support.
- Stay informed of current design and video trends, tools, and techniques and assist in applying new ideas to enhance marketing materials.
- Participate in and lead company-sponsored TEAM and SPARK activities that serve and support our mission.
What We're Looking For
- Two to five years of similar or related experience.
- A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
- A significant level of trust, credibility, and diplomacy for in-depth, sensitive, and confidential communications.
- Skills in advanced software programs including Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, Page Maker, Page Mill, Streamline, Type Manager; Microsoft Office Suite; Macromedia Freehand, Fontographer; Apple Macintosh OS8; Quark Xpress.
- Skill in programming HTML and JAVA.
- Familiarity with Internet, Web design and Mac based systems, output technology, printing press operations, scanning, and digital processing.
- Thorough understanding of color theory, typography, layout, branding, and iconography.
- Familiarity with cross platform (Mac, PC, and NTSC) color palette issues.
- Knowledge of graphic design techniques, marketing, and advertising.
- Ability to regularly report to First Heritage Federal Credit Union’s Headquarters located in Corning, NY.
