Provides administrative oversight for pre- and post-award activities related to federally and privately funded research projects in pediatrics. Supports investigators through the grant lifecycle, ensuring adherence to sponsor and institutional requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage submission of grant proposals to funding agencies
- Coordinate internal approvals for research applications
- Review funding announcements for eligibility and compliance
- Prepare budget justifications and financial documentation
- Monitor project expenditures and funding allocations
- Track deadlines for proposals and reports
- Serve as liaison between researchers and sponsors
- Maintain records for grant-related activities
- Assist with effort certification and salary compliance
- Support audit preparation and financial reviews
- Interpret sponsor guidelines and institutional policies
- Facilitate communication among research teams and administrators
- Ensure adherence to federal and university regulations
- Prepare no-cost extension and carryforward requests
- Assist in closeout procedures for completed projects
- Generate financial summaries for principal investigators
- Update grant management systems with award data
- Collaborate with sponsored projects office on submissions
- Verify proposal routing forms are complete
- Organize documentation for funding applications
- Respond to sponsor inquiries about submissions
- Track award notifications and funding actions
- Support compliance training for research staff
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive research data
- Coordinate multi-institutional agreements as needed
