About the Role

Provides administrative oversight for pre- and post-award activities related to federally and privately funded research projects in pediatrics. Supports investigators through the grant lifecycle, ensuring adherence to sponsor and institutional requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage submission of grant proposals to funding agencies
  • Coordinate internal approvals for research applications
  • Review funding announcements for eligibility and compliance
  • Prepare budget justifications and financial documentation
  • Monitor project expenditures and funding allocations
  • Track deadlines for proposals and reports
  • Serve as liaison between researchers and sponsors
  • Maintain records for grant-related activities
  • Assist with effort certification and salary compliance
  • Support audit preparation and financial reviews
  • Interpret sponsor guidelines and institutional policies
  • Facilitate communication among research teams and administrators
  • Ensure adherence to federal and university regulations
  • Prepare no-cost extension and carryforward requests
  • Assist in closeout procedures for completed projects
  • Generate financial summaries for principal investigators
  • Update grant management systems with award data
  • Collaborate with sponsored projects office on submissions
  • Verify proposal routing forms are complete
  • Organize documentation for funding applications
  • Respond to sponsor inquiries about submissions
  • Track award notifications and funding actions
  • Support compliance training for research staff
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive research data
  • Coordinate multi-institutional agreements as needed
