Responsibilities
- Support the management of contracts currently overseen by senior staff, including tracking deadlines, deliverables, and performance metrics
- Coordinate with vendors, legal, and finance teams to ensure contract compliance and timely execution
- Maintain organized documentation for audits, reporting, and internal reviews
- Assist in drafting scopes of work, reviewing proposals, and supporting procurement processes
- Serve as a liaison between program managers and contractors to ensure clear communication and issue resolution
- Contribute to process improvements and standard operating procedures related to contract management
- Potentially assume supervisory responsibilities or transition into a broader program management role
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Proficient in Excel, word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to develop working relationships with colleagues and partners
- Familiarity with state procurement laws, contract lifecycle management, and public sector compliance
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication for internal and external coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management systems
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and competing deadlines with accuracy
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must complete the Florida Certified Contract Manager Certification Training within 12 months of appointment.
- Duties and responsibilities of this position must be performed at the official work site of the Department.
- Travel may be required up to 25% of the time

- A Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records.
