Educate! is hiring a Global Systems and Financial Operations Manager

About the Role

Drive systemic change by designing and deploying intelligent financial and operational infrastructure for a fast-growing social enterprise. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, process optimization, and financial integrity, with a proven ability to turn complexity into clarity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose inefficiencies in current workflows and lead redesign efforts to create faster, simpler, and more sustainable processes
  • Implement AI-powered agents and low-code automation tools to reduce manual work and scale operations across regions
  • Ensure global office infrastructure runs with minimal oversight by designing self-sustaining systems
  • Conduct regular audits to eliminate outdated procedures and redundant systems, maintaining a lean and integrated technology environment
  • Own the full lifecycle of Accounts Payable, from setup to compliance, including automated coding and approval workflows
  • Design and maintain synchronization logic between donor records in the CRM and actual bank deposits
  • Build real-time dashboards and tracking systems that proactively alert teams to upcoming deadlines and bottlenecks
  • Elevate the finance team’s role from transactional processing to quality assurance of automated outputs
  • Strengthen technical fluency across finance staff to ensure confident management of AI-enhanced tools
  • Lead strategic initiatives for executive leadership aimed at improving cross-functional efficiency
  • Optimize virtual assistant workflows by designing clear, repeatable processes and defining measurable KPIs
  • Monitor internal operations to identify lagging areas and deploy rapid automation solutions

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated initiative in identifying and prioritizing operational improvements by listening to team feedback and spotting inefficiencies
  • Hands-on experience with automation platforms such as Zapier, n8n, and AI tools like ChatGPT or Gemini
  • Belief that AI is essential to modern operational design and continuous improvement
  • Strong data organization skills, including formula-building and spreadsheet modeling for process optimization
  • Ability to simplify technical systems into intuitive tools that others can adopt easily
  • Track record of upskilling teams to independently manage and maintain systems
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of experience in operations, systems management, or advanced administrative roles with a focus on building—not just following—processes

Technology Environment

Work across a modern stack including AI agents, low-code automation platforms, Google Workspace integrations, and CRM systems to power global operations.

Work Environment

This role supports a hybrid model, open to candidates in the UK and East Africa, with flexibility for fully remote or hybrid arrangements depending on location. The position is offered on a fixed-term contract with potential for extension based on performance.

Educate!

Educate! prepares youth in Africa with the skills to succeed in today’s economy. We tackle youth unemployment by partnering with schools and governments to reform what schools teach and how they teach it, so that students in Africa have the skills to start businesses, get jobs, and drive development in their communities.

We deliver practical, employment-focused education through two core programs: Livelihood Bootcamps for young women unable to access secondary school, and an employment-focused subject integrated into national secondary school systems. Our approach emphasizes sustainability and government-led, system-level change to ensure long-term impact.

We measure our impact through rigorous external evaluations and rapid assessment methods, focusing on outcomes like increased income, business ownership, and gender equity for young people across Africa.
