Responsibilities
- Oversee recurring global payroll cycles to ensure accurate, on-time payments in alignment with company policies and local regulations.
- Manage end-to-end payroll inputs, validation steps, approval workflows, funding coordination, reconciliations, close support, and post-payroll reporting.
- Process various compensation elements including wages, bonuses, commissions, benefits deductions, leave payments, terminations, retroactive adjustments, and equity-related payroll items.
- Maintain strong internal controls, documentation practices, audit readiness, and approval tracking in collaboration with Accounting, HR, Tax, Legal, and external providers.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee escalations, provider errors, audit inquiries, and compliance concerns promptly.
- Manage ongoing relationships with international payroll providers, Employer of Record (EOR) partners, tax specialists, benefits administrators, and other third-party vendors.
- Establish consistent vendor management routines, including issue tracking, regular check-ins, escalation protocols, service standards, and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with Finance, HR, Tax, Legal, Treasury, Procurement, and Enterprise Applications teams to support payroll execution, funding, compliance, and employee lifecycle changes.
- Identify and recommend ways to improve provider performance, service quality, process consistency, cost efficiency, and issue resolution speed.
- Enhance data flows, system integrations, reporting accuracy, and control frameworks across payroll, HRIS, ERP, benefits, equity, tax, and treasury platforms.
- Drive standardization of payroll processes, reduce manual interventions, improve reporting capabilities, and strengthen governance and accuracy.
- Track and maintain key payroll metrics such as payment timeliness, open issues, error patterns, off-cycle payments, reconciliation status, and control completion rates.
- Support system upgrades, provider transitions, integration improvements, new entity onboarding, and payroll-related activities during M&A or organizational changes.
- Supervise and develop payroll team members by setting clear expectations, operational rhythms, and accountability for precise and timely delivery.
- Strengthen team resilience through cross-training, backup planning, disciplined documentation, and shared knowledge practices.
- Maintain up-to-date payroll calendars, standard operating procedures, process documentation, approval matrices, and recurring compliance checklists.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Hybrid — US-Remote, US-Hybrid
Team
Manages payroll team members; collaborates with Finance, HR, Legal, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Enterprise Applications, and external service providers.
Physical Requirements
- Work primarily in an office setting with extensive computer use, including prolonged screen viewing and keyboarding throughout the workday.
- Regularly engage in phone communication, including placing and receiving calls.
- Occasionally move or lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
Travel
May require up to 10% travel as needed for business purposes.
