Responsibilities
- Produce technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and construction-related materials.
- Assess subsurface conditions and evaluate how they influence engineering design and construction activities.
- Guide early-career engineers in technical tasks and professional development.
- Carry out assignments within established timelines and budgets with minimal oversight.
- Independently execute all required tasks for core geotechnical design components.
- Design subsurface exploration plans, assign laboratory testing, and draft related technical reports.
- Conduct field investigations and inspect construction activities from a geotechnical perspective.
- Lead and coordinate geotechnical investigation efforts from planning to delivery.
- Perform analyses for deep foundations, slope stability, soil settlement, ground modification, and water flow through soil.
- Use specialized software tools including APILE, LPILE, GROUP, SEEPW, SLOPEW, and GRLWEAP for modeling and analysis.
- Develop comprehensive geotechnical reports and construction-ready documentation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as structural engineers, architects, and environmental consultants.
- Establish and apply quality control measures specific to geotechnical projects.
- Attend client meetings and present technical findings and project requirements.
- Keep current with advancements, emerging technologies, and evolving practices in the geotechnical field.
- Provide mentorship to less experienced engineers and offer technical support across the team.
