Lead and shape the financial reporting function by managing a team responsible for maintaining precise and compliant financial records. This role is central to ensuring accurate reporting in line with both local accounting standards and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), within a multi-entity, multi-state environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop team members, setting performance goals and supporting ongoing professional growth
- Oversee core accounting activities including journal entries, general ledger management, reconciliations, cost accounting, and cash flow monitoring
- Prepare internal and external financial statements with accuracy and timeliness
- Ensure strict compliance with statutory, group, and regulatory requirements
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, working with global process owners to refine workflows and documentation
- Address escalated issues and support both internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and implement policies that promote transparency, accuracy, and efficiency in financial reporting and controls
- Collaborate across functions to maintain alignment with corporate standards and governance frameworks
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related business field required
- Minimum of six years of experience in general accounting, preferably in complex, multi-entity environments
- Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA – FI-CO module and financial reporting using Tagetik
- Strong understanding of IFRS and compliance frameworks
- Fluency in English with solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability in team leadership, performance management, and conflict resolution
- A master’s degree or intermediate Portuguese language skills are considered advantageous
Work Environment
