Responsibilities
- Work hand-in-hand with design teams to refine gameplay ideas and specs, ensuring technical feasibility, performance, and on-time delivery
- Build and integrate new gameplay mechanics and user-facing functionalities using AtomEngine, Godot, GDScript, and C++
- Evaluate and enhance gameplay systems through profiling and optimization to maintain responsiveness across diverse conditions and scales
- Develop game features with a clear grasp of client-server architecture, state synchronization, and the effects of latency and scale on player experience
- Collaborate with QA and testing groups to verify functionality, uncover edge cases, and resolve issues affecting gameplay accuracy, performance, and usability
- Produce and keep up-to-date detailed technical documentation outlining system functionality, APIs, dependencies, and limitations to aid teamwork and future maintenance
