Responsibilities
- Engage fully in agile ceremonies including daily scrums, sprint planning, and JIRA-managed development cycles
- Take end-to-end ownership of features, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and ongoing support
- Develop server-side applications primarily in Ruby with Rails or comparable frameworks; familiarity with C#/.NET 7/8 is beneficial
- Implement and maintain client-side interfaces using Angular 14/15 with TypeScript, while supporting older AngularJS and Angular 8 components as needed
- Design efficient MySQL database structures and refine complex queries for performance
- Maintain a stable main branch by frequently integrating tested code changes
- Create and sustain automated test suites, ensuring functionality meets specifications without reliance on a separate QA team
- Guide team members, lead code reviews, and enforce high standards in software engineering practices
- Construct systems that are both scalable and sustainable, managing new feature development alongside legacy system maintenance
- Utilize AI coding assistants like Claude Code and Codex to enhance development speed, code quality, and delivery efficiency
- Initiate and drive improvements in development tools, workflows, and technical practices
