- Experience owning a significant project end-to-end, such as a product module, infrastructure refactor, or major feature launch.
- Ability to set standards for engineering quality and architectural decisions in an AI-native environment.
- Resourceful and comfortable in ambiguous environments, with a strong ability to work independently.
- Strong product intuition and the ability to push back on requirements to improve outcomes.
- Deep understanding of modern coding tools, specifically Claude Code, and proficiency with its various modes.
- AI-driven problem-solving approach, leveraging AI tools and workflows as the default method.
- Strong systems thinking and architectural awareness, directing AI to build while architecting, reviewing, and verifying.
- Recent AI-native work experience, with meaningful projects shipped in the last 90 days using AI coding tools as the primary development environment.
- Proficiency in Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, GCP/cloud infrastructure, and API design (REST/GraphQL).
- Experience with React, TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, and state management (Redux, Zustand, React Query).
- Knowledge of frontend performance optimization, accessibility (WCAG), and testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress/Playwright).
- Experience with code reviews, documentation, and establishing conventions.
- Familiarity with product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel) for data-driven development.
Nice to Have
- Experience building autonomous agents with the Claude Agent SDK or similar agentic frameworks, understanding multi-agent orchestration, MCP integrations, and production agent deployment.
- Experience with AI image/video generation or manipulation, familiarity with tools like Midjourney, Runway, Stable Diffusion, Sora, or integrating generation APIs into product workflows.
- Experience at an early-stage startup or as a first/early engineering hire.
- Building internal tooling, dashboards, or systems that scaled to thousands of users.
- Leading technical initiatives or mentoring junior engineers.
- Building or maintaining design systems.
- Interest in AI, e-commerce, or automation.
- Shipping side projects or contributing to open-source.
- Direct experience working with designers and contributing to design discussions.
Benefits
- Post-revenue company solving real problems for real customers.
- Technical leadership role defining engineering culture and standards as the company scales.
- High autonomy and visibility, with no routine tasks.
- Code reaching users within days, not months.
- Strong engineering-first culture embracing cutting-edge AI tools.
- Influence on both the product and the company's direction.
