As an early full stack engineer, you'll help architect and develop a core platform that applies large language models and AI to streamline document-heavy workflows in defense, civil agencies, and commercial sectors. You'll work across the stack—designing backend APIs, building intuitive web interfaces, and integrating advanced AI capabilities—to deliver tools that improve how organizations manage compliance, security, and information retrieval.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement system architecture that orchestrates multiple AI models, backend services, and frontend applications.
- Write clean, maintainable code in Python and TypeScript, balancing speed with long-term scalability.
- Collaborate directly with users and team members to shape product requirements and translate them into technical execution.
- Explain technical trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional efforts, guiding teammates with varying technical backgrounds toward shared goals.
- Contribute to strategic decisions and help shape engineering culture as the team grows.
What We’re Looking For
- US citizenship and eligibility for a DoD security clearance.
- At least four years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript, with hands-on experience building full-stack applications.
- Background in natural language processing, AI application development, and system design.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and real-world application of secure coding practices.
- Proven ability to engage with end-users, gather feedback, and refine product direction.
- Strong communication skills and a self-directed approach to problem-solving.
Why This Matters
You’ll work on novel challenges where AI meets high-stakes documentation workflows. The platform you help build will directly impact how critical organizations handle sensitive information, compliance checks, and knowledge discovery. This role offers meaningful influence over product, architecture, and culture in a lean, mission-focused team.
