Lead and grow a team of 4–8 full stack engineers focused on evolving the Charles River Private Markets platform. In this role, you'll guide technical decision-making, support professional development, and ensure delivery of robust, scalable software solutions aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end development cycles, from analysis and design to testing and debugging, within a complex financial technology ecosystem
- Partner with product and business teams to translate requirements into maintainable, high-performance systems
- Drive resolution of critical technical challenges during client implementations and system enhancements
- Champion agile practices, actively participating in standups, planning, grooming, and retrospectives
- Contribute to cloud transformation initiatives, building observable, horizontally scalable services using modern frameworks
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience developing event-driven systems
- Proven leadership managing engineering teams
- Strong background in Java, Spring, and front-end frameworks such as Angular or React
- Experience designing cloud-native applications with scalability and operability in mind
- Working knowledge of relational databases and multi-tier application architectures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines
- Commitment to working on-site four days per week
Preferred Background
- Master’s degree in a technical or quantitative discipline
- Experience in financial services or capital markets
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services
