- Develop backend APIs and data models that power both web and mobile experiences
- Build and refine AI-driven workflows that enhance patient engagement and clinical efficiency
- Collaborate with founders and cross-functional teammates to define product priorities and technical strategy
- Help establish best practices around data collection, analysis, and reporting using SQL and visualization tools
- Contribute to a culture of thoughtful engineering, emphasizing clean code, clear documentation, and sound architectural decisions
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience leading significant engineering projects with full technical ownership
- At least five years of professional full-stack development, including backend services using frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Django, or Node.js
- Strong SQL skills with experience in data analysis and visualization platforms such as Tableau, Looker, or Metabase
- Firm grasp of web APIs, networking, and database systems
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex problems independently in a fast-moving startup
- A user-centered mindset and commitment to delivering polished, effective software
- Curiosity and initiative in learning and applying new technologies
Nice to Have
- Experience with statistical modeling, data mining, or predictive algorithms
- Familiarity with LLM APIs from OpenAI or Anthropic, or open-source foundation models
- Hands-on work with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud, especially for deploying AI applications
- Background in mobile development for iOS or Android
- Prior work at an early-stage startup
- Experience with HIPAA-compliant systems
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
