Responsibilities
- Create intuitive, accessible, and mobile-friendly interfaces that support efficient user interaction and data interpretation across digital platforms.
- Customize JavaScript and CSS components within the ePHEM Suite to align with existing system architecture.
- Build modular, reusable widgets that can be deployed across various ePHEM modules.
- Ensure a uniform, responsive, and accessible design language across all application modules.
- Develop high-performance user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.
- Work closely with backend teams and data specialists to connect APIs and enable real-time dashboards and visual tools.
- Design interactive dashboards and data displays using open-source libraries to aid public health analysis.
- Maintain and enhance public-facing dashboards powered by DHIS2 and similar platforms, incorporating live health metrics and interactive features for local and national users.
- Incorporate geospatial tools and interactive maps into ePHEM module functionality.
- Perform comprehensive frontend testing to detect and fix issues affecting performance, usability, and reliability.
- Record all custom code, libraries, and integrations in the ePHEM Wiki to support long-term system maintenance.
- Deliver structured handover processes to designated national stakeholders.
- Offer training and ongoing mentorship to local teams on managing and integrating systems including ePHEM, DHIS2, and EIOS.
- Produce user manuals, instructional resources, and technical documentation to build institutional knowledge and ensure system continuity.

- Must hold a valid business license to operate as a consultant in Ethiopia or commit to obtaining one prior to contract finalization.
- Contract oversight will be managed by the Senior Technical Advisor, who will track deliverables and authorize payments.
- Position requires full-time availability with an expected workload of approximately 40 hours per week.
- Contract duration extends through December 31, 2026.
