Responsibilities
- Develop robust Java-based services and APIs that form the backbone of the platform and customer-facing features
- Structure and model data to transform unstructured external inputs into clear, usable product experiences
- Create event-driven data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and enhancing data from third-party sources
- Maintain and monitor production systems with a strong emphasis on security, compliance, and auditability for regulated data
- Design resilient APIs and data architectures that handle distributed system challenges such as latency, retries, and partial failures
- Implement scalable search, indexing, and querying infrastructure to support high-performance data access
- Incorporate artificial intelligence capabilities into backend processes where they deliver tangible product improvements
- Collaborate with founding team and engineering peers to define product priorities and technical implementation strategies
- Leverage AI-powered development tools to speed up coding, testing, and codebase modernization efforts
- Take end-to-end ownership of features from concept through deployment to ongoing refinement
