Responsibilities
- Spend approximately one-quarter of your time traveling to customer sites throughout the United States
- Observe and engage with operators, analysts, and frontline staff to gain deep insight into their workflows, limitations, and technical integration needs
- Quickly develop and test tools or integrations on-site to assess feasibility and address urgent customer challenges
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical and operational issues, even in unstable or resource-constrained environments
- Convert field observations into precise technical specifications and integration requirements for engineering teams
- Manage end-to-end technical integrations, including APIs, data flows, hardware and software interfaces, and secure deployment configurations
- Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure product features meet actual operational demands
- Serve as the internal voice of the customer, ensuring technical teams understand real-world constraints and reliability needs
- Break down unclear, real-world problems into defined, actionable technical tasks
- Support mission-critical deployments by ensuring reliable connectivity, data integrity, and system performance
- Provide engineering and product teams with field data, observations, and frontline feedback to guide development priorities
- Assist in pre-sales efforts by visiting prospective clients to demonstrate product capabilities and validate use cases
- Help shape the processes, practices, and culture that will grow and scale the forward deployed engineering function
