Responsibilities
- Design and manage scalable and secure databases using AWS RDS, Google BigQuery, or other cloud-based platforms
- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analytics
- Build and maintain Python-based data tools, scripts, and automation workflows
- Apply OOPs principles to structure robust and maintainable Python code for data engineering tasks
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support data needs and pipeline enhancements
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance and availability
- Ensure data integrity, security, and backup/recovery processes
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in SQL and database engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs)
- Experience working with AWS RDS (MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQL Server)
- Exposure to Google BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, security, and cost optimization
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with data pipeline tools and orchestration is a plus
