Responsibilities
- Partner with operations and operational excellence teams to refine marination methods for higher yield and improved product quality.
- Engage in initiatives to enhance raw materials used in prepared foods, focusing on quality, yield, and compliance with specifications.
- Investigate and assess new machinery, methods, and innovations that can boost product standards and production efficiency, coordinating with operations, quality assurance, and regulatory groups for validation and rollout.
- Lead and manage pilot-scale trials of emerging technologies, interpret outcomes, and advise on full-scale deployment.
- Evaluate production data, cooking yields, slicing efficiency, and formulation expenses to uncover areas for improvement.
- Serve as a technical authority on advancements and trends in food processing technology.
- Collaborate with product development, operations, and QA teams to resolve quality or yield issues tied to specifications or processes, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Assist operational excellence in creating reliable standard operating procedures for existing value-added processes and author SOPs for new R&D-driven processes and technologies.
- Drive cross-functional projects that promote teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Guide and train R&D staff in best practices for poultry marination, further processing, and functional ingredient applications in product development.
- Offer technical guidance and support to internal departments as required.
- Be available to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
