Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of firmware architecture across multiple product iterations, covering hardware abstraction layers, device drivers, peripheral integrations, and communication protocols such as UART, I2C, SPI, RFID, and BLE where applicable
- Design and sustain firmware on modern embedded systems using real-time operating systems like Zephyr RTOS, with a focus on optimizing power consumption and performance for resource-limited hardware
- Create and manage an embedded testing infrastructure encompassing unit, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop testing, along with establishing CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, static analysis, artifact generation, and consistent release processes; collaborate with hardware, QA, and manufacturing teams during device bring-up, validation, and production test development; conduct root-cause analysis for field and sustaining issues while guiding team members through design reviews and development best practices
- Support end-to-end product deployment and lifecycle management, including on-site customer visits, reproducing and validating issues, performing root-cause investigations, and delivering verified firmware fixes
Compensation
HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $120,000 - $135,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
