Join our team as a Firmware Engineer focused on the development and optimization of wearable technology across the APAC region. In this role, you will serve as the key technical contact between internal engineering groups and external semiconductor partners, primarily Qualcomm, to ensure seamless hardware and firmware integration.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with RF, antenna, validation, BSP, and connectivity software teams to diagnose and resolve hardware bring-up and manufacturing issues.
- Engage directly with chip vendors to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges affecting device performance and feature stability.
- Implement and validate NVM and BDF configurations within Qualcomm’s WiFi and Bluetooth ecosystem, ensuring proper firmware integration.
- Analyze system logs using tools such as Logcat, dmesg, and QXDM to isolate root causes and drive efficient resolutions.
- Provide on-site and remote support in contract manufacturer facilities and testing labs to maintain alignment with project requirements and schedules.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience with Qualcomm WiFi/BT chipsets and their associated firmware environments.
- Hands-on background in NVM and BDF tuning, firmware integration, and embedded debugging.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated use of log analysis tools across Android or Linux-based platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming with Python, C, or C++ for automation and tool development.
- Experience supporting factory operations, RF calibration, or regulatory certification processes such as SAR.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across technical teams and time zones.
Preferred Background
- Familiarity with Qualcomm antenna tuner systems.
- Exposure to smart transmit, coexistence management, or RF optimization features.
