Optasia is hiring a Financial Services Partnerships Manager, Southern Africa, Fintech

About the Role

As the Financial Services Partnerships Manager for Southern Africa, you will drive the end-to-end partnership lifecycle with banks and financial services providers. You'll act as the central liaison, ensuring alignment between strategic goals, operational execution, and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Manage day-to-day engagement with assigned financial partners, fostering trust and collaboration
  • Coordinate joint planning cycles, performance assessments, and strategic reviews
  • Oversee the implementation of new products and market expansions, ensuring timely delivery
  • Align cross-functional teams—including legal, compliance, technology, and product—to meet partner needs
  • Monitor KPIs, identify operational bottlenecks, and lead resolution efforts
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, internal policies, and external regulations
  • Support onboarding processes, including KYC, documentation, and technical integration
  • Track project milestones and drive accountability across teams
  • Identify opportunities to enhance commercial models and expand partnership value
  • Provide regular insights on partner performance and regional market trends

Requirements

  • Proven understanding of treasury operations and liquidity management
  • Experience in digital financial services, banking, or fintech environments
  • Strong project management skills with a history of cross-team coordination
  • Ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into action
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfort working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and maintaining precision
  • Familiarity with secure development practices, including OWASP and NIST standards
  • Passion for technology adoption and collaborative innovation
  • Stakeholder management experience with institutional partners
