Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts to support timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Support preparation of U.S. GAAP and IFRS financial statements, including footnotes and technical areas.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation; respond to inquiries from external auditors.
- Partner with external auditors and cross-functional teams to support quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Assist with other external reporting requirements, including lenders, regulatory bodies, and other third parties, as applicable.
- Research and document technical accounting topics.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
- Participate in high-visibility projects as needed, including bond offerings, acquisitions, restructurings, or other strategic initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of relevant experience; public accounting or large corporate environment strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP financial reporting and disclosure requirements.
- Solid general ledger knowledge, including consolidation accounting and foreign currency translation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet-based analysis.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with plant personnel, corporate and executive management, Treasury, Internal Audit, and external auditors.
- Ability to work independently with appropriate training and supervision.
