Responsibilities
- Lead financial reporting for landfill, waste collection, and transfer station operations
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
- Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with accounting standards
- Monitor and analyze operational costs and revenue streams across business units
- Support budget preparation and financial forecasting processes
- Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with site managers to improve financial performance
- Review and validate capital expenditure proposals
- Track and report on key financial and operational metrics
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted results
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements
- Manage relationships with internal audit and external auditors
- Assist in tax reporting and compliance activities
- Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Implement process improvements in financial systems and reporting
- Support pricing strategies based on financial modeling
- Maintain documentation for financial controls and audit trails
- Train and guide junior finance staff
