About the Role

This role involves delivering on-site and remote technical support for advanced optical systems, diagnosing malfunctions, performing preventive maintenance, and guiding clients through proper equipment use to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with optical devices in the field
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on precision instruments
  • Collaborate with internal teams to escalate complex technical problems
  • Document service activities and outcomes accurately
  • Respond to customer support requests within defined timeframes
  • Install and calibrate equipment according to specifications
  • Provide training to clients on proper equipment operation
  • Follow safety protocols during all field operations
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and service tools
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware integration issues
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Adhere to service level agreements for response and resolution
  • Communicate technical details clearly to non-technical users
  • Support product upgrades and retrofits
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to identify root causes
  • Report recurring issues to engineering teams
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency support
  • Track time and expenses for service visits
  • Follow up with customers post-service for satisfaction feedback
