INNIO was looking for a Field Service Staff Manager - Jenbacher Engines

INNIO is hiring a Field Service Staff Manager to lead our Jenbacher Engines service operations in West Texas. You will manage a team of Field Service Technicians and Work Preparators for this critical region, driving customer satisfaction through high-quality, safe, and profitable service execution.

What You'll Do

  • Directly manage Field Service Technicians and Work Preparators within the West Texas service region.
  • Manage team performance regarding quality of work, profitability, target agreements, employee development, EHS, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the quality of work execution for commissioning, repairs, overhauls, and warranty procedures across all product lines.
  • Work closely with Service Area Managers to meet customer requirements with high-quality, timely service.
  • Optimize costs of service calls and ensure service contract requirements are fulfilled.
  • Collaborate on the strategic planning for the service region.
  • Ensure compliance with work safety guidelines for all subordinate employees and contractors.
  • Support Service Sales Managers by developing and introducing standardized processes.
  • Collect and forward feedback from service technicians and customers to Service Center and Service Area Managers.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to the Help Desk.
  • Implement and comply with all safety-relevant requirements, including EHS audits.
  • Increase customer satisfaction by ensuring fast response times and providing necessary service know-how.

What We're Looking For

  • Completed technical or electrical/electronic training program.
  • Several years of experience in electrical and/or mechanical field, preferably in plant engineering or the energy sector.
  • Several years of experience leading a team of technicians.
  • Technical background, ideally with reciprocating engines in the Energy or Power Gen industry.
  • High degree of flexibility, resilience, customer orientation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate employees, analyze processes, and negotiate effectively.
  • Confident handling of Oracle and Microsoft applications.
  • Knowledge of business administration.
  • Experience with coaching and onboarding new employees.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for customer and employee audits.
  • Live in the Midland area or willingness to move there.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of gas engine series for Jenbacher products.
