Wing Assistant is hiring a Field & Events Marketer

Responsibilities

  • Identify and rank industry events such as conferences, tradeshows, and forums that match the ideal customer profile and support business growth, maintaining a 12-month forward-looking event schedule.
  • Secure favorable terms by negotiating contracts with event organizers, venues, and vendors for sponsorships, booth placements, speaking opportunities, and additional benefits.
  • Oversee all aspects of event execution, including booth setup and dismantling, shipping logistics, promotional materials, giveaways, lead tracking tools, audiovisual needs, catering, hotel arrangements, and team travel.
  • Serve as the primary on-site representative at each event, handling setup, real-time problem-solving, and teardown to ensure a professional and consistent brand presence.
  • Prepare internal teams for events by communicating goals, key messages, target accounts, and logistical details so all attendees understand their roles and schedules.
  • Collaborate with sales to generate pipeline through pre-arranged meetings, on-site customer dinners, and follow-up processes that ensure timely lead qualification and handoff.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns before and after events, including email outreach, digital ads, landing pages, and social media, to boost attendance and meeting bookings.
  • Manage the overall event budget across the annual calendar, tracking expenses, forecasting future needs, identifying financial risks early, and adjusting plans when priorities change.
  • Establish measurable KPIs for each event—such as leads generated, meetings held, pipeline value, and return on investment—and deliver clear post-event reports that inform future improvements.

Other

  • Travel is required 30 to 50% of the time during peak event seasons across North America, with possible trips to Europe as the business expands.
  • Applicant must reside within approximately one hour of a major airport hub with regular direct flight connections.
  • Qualifying U.S. airport hubs include Atlanta (ATL), Boston (BOS), Charlotte (CLT), Chicago (ORD/MDW), Dallas (DFW), Denver (DEN), Detroit (DTW), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), Minneapolis (MSP), New York (JFK/EWR/LGA), Philadelphia (PHL), Phoenix (PHX), San Francisco (SFO), Seattle (SEA), and Washington DC (IAD/DCA).
  • Qualifying Canadian airport hubs include Toronto (YYZ), Vancouver (YVR), Calgary (YYC), and Montreal (YUL).
  • Candidates must have legal authorization to work in their country of residence. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
