Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the client and Forward Deployed Executive at the beginning of a project to deeply understand operational workflows beyond documented requirements, then re-architect solutions from foundational principles
- Achieve functional proficiency in new industry domains such as insurance underwriting, healthcare revenue operations, or asset management
- Design, develop, and deploy generative AI systems—cloud-native, LLM-driven, and agent-based—into client environments
- Develop and fine-tune retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems for live production scenarios
- Create evaluation frameworks prior to feature development; define success criteria, implement monitoring, and let performance metrics guide design decisions
- Write production-level code across the full stack, including AI components, backend services, and data processing pipelines, selecting tools aligned with client infrastructure
- Deploy and manage systems on AWS, with support for GCP or Azure as required by the client, using containerization, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and long-term maintainability practices
- Transition operational ownership of developed systems to client teams
- Use field insights to refine and evolve architectural blueprints, ensuring each engagement improves the starting point for future projects
- Lead technical architecture reviews, produce design documentation, and help establish engineering standards
- Guide and mentor engineering team members, promoting knowledge sharing across distributed teams
- Be jointly accountable for project outcomes by working closely with a Forward Deployed Executive responsible for business KPIs, with shared performance metrics
- Lead the technical vision and scoping for proposals, shaping what gets committed before formal agreements
- Drive technology adoption and lead change management efforts as a core part of the engineering role
- Maintain credibility and effective communication with client engineers and executive stakeholders
- Influence technical commitments and scope definition during pre-engagement phases
