An established legal practice in Cincinnati is seeking a skilled paralegal to support its civil defense litigation team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a solid background in managing case workflows from discovery through trial preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, evaluate, and summarize critical documents such as medical, financial, and employment records
- Develop detailed chronologies and summaries of medical histories
- Assemble trial materials, including notebooks, exhibits, and witness documentation
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
- Communicate with clients, external counsel, and court personnel to coordinate case activities
- Conduct legal and medical research to support case strategy and expert analysis
- Review expert credentials, prior testimony, and publications to assess suitability
- Produce case status reports, logs, and document indexes
- Support attorneys with additional case-related tasks as needed
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree and have between three and five years of hands-on litigation experience. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is strongly preferred.
