L.A. Care Health Plan is hiring an ETL Data Integration Developer III to join our mission of providing access to quality health care for Los Angeles County's vulnerable and low-income communities. In this senior role, you will ensure the operational support of our Informatica environment and develop complex ETL processes for critical data warehouse and business intelligence projects.

What You'll Do

  • Provide operational support for the Informatica environment, including automation, job scheduling, monitoring, maintenance, and security.
  • Administer system performance, including ongoing optimization and tuning of the Informatica environment.
  • Support, enhance, and develop new, complex ETL processes for the Enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Marts.
  • Assist the data warehouse team in completing current data warehouse initiative projects.
  • Analyze and evaluate data sources to inform design and implementation.
  • Design and implement complex ETL processes to meet business needs.
  • Apply subject expertise to evaluate business operations, identify areas for technical solutions, and provide mentorship across business teams.
  • Provide training, recommend process improvements, and mentor junior-level staff and interns.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Statistics or a related field, or equivalent education/experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in an Informatica ETL Developer role within Data Warehouse projects.
  • At least 3 years of proven development experience designing and building ETL/Data Integration solutions with the Informatica Power Center Suite.
  • Hands-on experience with the Erwin data modeling toolset.
  • Experience working in a PL-SQL environment.
  • Expert knowledge in database concepts and logical/physical design and development.
  • Strong, comprehensive proficiency with Informatica in an Oracle Data Warehouse/BI environment.
  • Experience in documenting requirements and negotiating commitments.
  • Strong project life cycle and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience.
  • Strong database development skills, including the ability to analyze, create, and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures for Oracle & MS SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • A strong understanding of DW/BI concepts and good knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience in the healthcare domain.
  • Proven ability to perform technology needs assessments and evaluate solution options.
  • The capability to perform detailed interface analysis.
  • A solid understanding of the software development life cycle and broad-based knowledge of application systems technologies.
  • Ability to develop and maintain open, professional relationships with IT staff, management, and business customers.

Nice to Have

  • A Master's Degree in Statistics.
