About the Role

The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate or Experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join its virtual Software Factory team. In this role, you will support the Engineering Test and Technology (ET&T) organization by developing DevOps tools and automating software orchestration, packaging, and testing.

What You'll Do

  • Develop Python-based DevOps tools.
  • Support DevOps tasks across the Boeing Software Factory.
  • Develop tooling that automates the orchestration, packaging, and testing of software products.
  • Work on Gitlab CI Pipeline implementation and updates to existing pipelines.
  • Perform Bazel module updates and implementation to support various development languages.
  • Work under general direction with various teams to help with their migration into the Boeing Software Factory.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience developing Python modules and/or scripts.
  • 3+ years of experience developing CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab CI preferred).
  • 1+ years of experience developing in Java or Rust.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Level 2: 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level 3: 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience developing software for embedded systems, using one or more real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • 1+ years of experience with Bazel (Module development preferred).
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.

  • Associate Level (Level 2): $91,800 - $142,600; Experienced Level (Level 3): $114,750 - $178,250
