Role OverviewThis position focuses on building and refining reports using Epic's Cogito platform and complementary analytics tools. The analyst will collaborate with clinical and administrative stakeholders to understand data needs, translate requirements into functional reporting solutions, and ensure timely delivery of accurate, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and modify reports using Epic Cogito, Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, and SQL-based tools including Clarity and Caboodle
- Translate business and clinical requirements into detailed report specifications
- Validate data integrity and logic across reporting environments
- Diagnose and resolve user-reported issues related to report functionality or data discrepancies
- Establish and follow best practices for report development, documentation, and version control
- Lead testing efforts for new report releases and system updates
- Provide technical guidance to team members and serve as escalation point for complex reporting challenges
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all reporting assets
- Support cross-system data integration efforts and contribute to analytics process improvements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five years in healthcare IT, with emphasis on reporting, data analysis, or clinical systems
- Proven experience with Epic Cogito tools, including Radar Dashboards, RWB, and SlicerDicer
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database structures, particularly Oracle
- Epic Cogito certification required
- Experience extracting and modeling data from Epic Clarity and Caboodle
- Demonstrated ability in project coordination, problem-solving, and user communication
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Skilled in data visualization and user-centered report design

- Experience with Optime
- Background in SlicerDicer model setup or administration
- Epic Clinical Data Model Certification

Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $99,200 to $148,800. Additional compensation such as bonuses or equity is not included in this range. Comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities are available.
