Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and oversee staff and projects under direct supervision.
- Execute consulting assignments according to defined scope, timeline, and financial targets using internal project management tools and systems.
- Complete the organization's internal Project Management certification program within the first year of employment.
- Guide and support early- and mid-career professionals through mentorship and professional development.
- Conduct site visits and fieldwork requiring travel beyond the office and occasional overnight stays.
- Oversee and coordinate field operations and data gathering activities for project teams.
- Formulate and implement business strategies, prepare high-caliber proposals, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver final reports and documentation.
- Act as primary contact with clients and regulatory agencies on intricate projects and during business development efforts.
- Promote a team culture focused on work quality and strict adherence to health and safety standards.
- Offer technical expertise to the Environmental Planning & Permitting team and assist project leads and interdisciplinary initiatives.
- Partner with colleagues across various offices, disciplines, and service areas within the organization.
Work Arrangement
Remote — Germantown, MD, Arlington, VA, Glen Allen, VA, Washington D.C.
Other
- Overnight travel is required.
- Work includes field activities outside the office.
- Candidate will join the Mid-Atlantic EPP Department within AECOM’s East Region Environmental Planning & Permitting (EPP) practice.
- The candidate will participate in AECOM’s in-house Project Management certification program within the first year.
