Responsibilities
- Assist in managing structural engineering tasks from initial planning through project closeout under the guidance of a licensed professional.
- Conduct detailed structural evaluations and design computations for intricate infrastructure systems.
- Create technical drawings, project specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Work jointly with architectural teams, construction personnel, and multidisciplinary engineers to achieve project objectives.
- Verify adherence to regional and federal construction regulations and industry standards.
- Engage in field inspections to evaluate structural conditions and track building phase advancements.
- Apply sophisticated structural simulation programs and Building Information Modeling (BIM) platforms.
- Attend client discussions and deliver presentations outlining design approaches and resolutions.
- Maintain awareness of evolving industry practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in structural methods.
- Support the gathering and examination of on-site data for engineering assessments.
- Employ computer-based tools to resolve fundamental engineering challenges.
- Execute assigned duties within established timelines and financial constraints while under supervision.
- Travel across state lines for short-term field assignments lasting one to three days, representing up to 20% of total work hours.
