Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia is hiring an Enterprise Architect for Network Infrastructure at Industrial AI Cloud (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee network lifecycle operations including installations, updates, configuration changes, and firmware management while maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Deploy and manage InfiniBand switching infrastructure in compliance with ITIL standards.
  • Create and maintain automation scripts to streamline network orchestration and support continuous adjustments throughout project phases.
  • Operate and patch network environments, executing large-scale firmware and configuration updates.
  • Implement monitoring and observability practices for network health and performance.
  • Enhance incident, problem, and change management processes; document runbooks and standard procedures while adhering to ZERO Outage principles.
  • Collaborate with platform and AI engineering teams to enable seamless service deployment and operations.
  • Manage a unified high-speed network fabric combining InfiniBand and Ethernet with RoCE capabilities.
  • Oversee a dedicated 1 Gbps Ethernet management network with serial console access for out-of-band administration.
  • Handle connectivity between provider and customer edge devices, including routers and firewalls.
  • Design, test, and support ICT components and services to deliver standardized, high-quality offerings on the AI Factory Cloud.
  • Develop automation, optimization, and standardization strategies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Offer technical guidance proactively or upon request to internal teams and customers.
  • Deliver project outputs aligned with defined scope and objectives.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to advance innovation goals.
  • Define architectural principles and end-to-end solutions to meet business needs in product development.
  • Architect, build, and deploy service infrastructures based on AI Factory Cloud requirements.
  • Mentor team members to enhance collective expertise and skill development.
  • Serve as a lead technical expert, coordinating efforts across interdependent technology domains.
  • Provide specialized consulting to project teams in areas of deep technical knowledge.
  • Conduct research and development in assigned technologies, analyze business needs, and formulate implementation strategies.

Work Arrangement

Remote (Country) — Munich

Other

  • 24/7/365 operational support is required.
  • The role must be based in the EU due to product sovereignty constraints.
  • The project will be hosted in a third-party datacenter at Polarise, Tucherpark, Munich.
  • Initial connectivity will use IP Transit AS3320 from DTAG, with a private AS for in-band traffic and local internet breakout for OOB management.
  • AdminLAN access will not be available at launch.
  • High-Speed Fabric: A unified network fabric utilizing both InfiniBand and Ethernet / RoCE technologies.
  • Management Network: A separate 1 Gbps Ethernet and serial console for out-of-band (OOB) network management.
  • PE/CE datacenter connectivity: CE routers, firewalls
