KIPP NYC Public Schools is looking for an Enrichment Teacher - Middle School who combines the ability to motivate and educate, to develop academic and character skills, and to make a college preparatory education relevant. We partner with families and communities to create joyful, academically excellent schools.
What You'll Do
- Teach a rigorous college preparatory curriculum combining the school’s standards and New York State standards.
- Teach students in a high-quality, exciting way.
- Commit to constant professional and personal growth through working closely as part of a team of teachers.
- Use data to drive decisions.
- Constantly assess student progress and communicate results to families and colleagues.
- Provide individual or small group instruction for students who need additional assistance.
- Model a 'whatever it takes' spirit to ensure each student is successful.
- Model the school’s values in all communications with students, families, and staff.
What We're Looking For
- New York State teacher certification in the appropriate content area.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- A passion for being part of a team-oriented, mission-driven school culture.
- A strong desire to become a better teacher by joining the KIPP NYC team and family.
- Demonstrated success in raising the achievement levels of students from the communities KIPP NYC serves.
Nice to Have
- At least two years of teaching experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills contributing to a collegial environment and character traits like zest, grit, hope, love, social intelligence, gratitude, and a sense of humor.

- Compensation: $70,829 - $136,704
