About the Role
The specialist will assist in advancing educational outcomes for English learners by managing program data, supporting compliance efforts, and contributing to policy implementation during a limited-term assignment or job rotation.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data related to English learner performance and program effectiveness
- Support compliance with state and federal education requirements
- Coordinate communication between education programs and oversight bodies
- Assist in developing reports on program outcomes and student progress
- Participate in cross-functional teams focused on educational equity
- Contribute to the design and refinement of assessment tools
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for program audits
- Provide input on policy recommendations affecting English learner services
- Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback on program delivery
- Facilitate training sessions for staff on program guidelines
- Monitor timelines for reporting and compliance deadlines
- Translate data findings into actionable program improvements
- Work with educators to identify barriers to student success
- Support the integration of culturally responsive practices
- Ensure consistency in program implementation across regions
- Assist in evaluating professional development initiatives
- Collaborate on grant-related program activities
- Prepare presentations for internal and external audiences
- Respond to information requests from oversight agencies
- Promote data-driven decision-making within education teams
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in education, policy, or related area
- Direct experience supporting English learner programs
- Background in data visualization or reporting tools
- Familiarity with Oregon’s education system
- Training in bilingual education or language development
