KPFF is hiring an Engineering - Structural - 3+ Years Experience

About the Role

This position involves performing structural design and analysis for a variety of projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structural analysis for commercial and residential buildings
  • Prepare engineering calculations and design documentation
  • Collaborate with architects and other engineers during project development
  • Review construction drawings and specifications for accuracy
  • Perform field observations and site inspections as needed
  • Ensure designs comply with local, state, and national building codes
  • Support project management with scheduling and coordination tasks
  • Use structural modeling software to simulate performance
  • Develop foundation designs based on soil reports
  • Assist in preparing bid documents and construction administration
  • Coordinate with contractors during construction phases
  • Revise designs based on client feedback or site conditions
  • Maintain quality control on engineering deliverables
  • Participate in peer reviews of design work
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices
  • Engage in problem-solving for complex structural challenges
  • Support sustainable design initiatives
  • Attend client and project team meetings
  • Manage multiple tasks within established deadlines
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards in all designs
