Responsibilities
- Advance the simulation platform to handle higher volumes of scenarios, improve measurement systems, and support long-term scalability.
- Manage and grow a team of software and validation engineers working on simulation infrastructure, automated testing pipelines, data validation tools, and scenario design, with a focus on technical mentorship and hiring.
- Guide the creation of sophisticated simulation features such as realistic sensor modeling, playback of real-world vehicle data in closed-loop environments, and generation of synthetic test scenarios.
- Collaborate with teams in planning, perception, control, and safety to incorporate simulation insights into product development and ensure tools align with organizational needs.
- Enhance continuous integration and deployment processes to enable rapid, dependable testing while balancing large-scale regression runs with immediate experimental demands.
- Establish strict quality assurance procedures for scenario handling, define standardized performance indicators, and implement benchmarking systems to monitor simulation coverage, effectiveness, and usage.
