Responsibilities
- Guide and mentor a group of engineers specializing in frontend, backend, and full-stack development.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of major product projects, from initial planning to deployment and ongoing improvements.
- Work closely with Product and Design teams to shape the roadmap, make trade-offs, and set priorities.
- Ensure consistent project delivery while upholding high standards for quality, reliability, and code maintainability.
- Offer technical guidance by participating in design reviews, architectural discussions, and helping engineers overcome obstacles.
- Coordinate with other engineering groups to facilitate seamless integrations and shared responsibility.
- Build solid engineering practices including thorough documentation, monitoring, testing, and operational discipline.
- Cultivate a team environment that emphasizes accountability, speed, and transparent communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years in software engineering and 2 to 5 years managing people.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams with both frontend and backend engineers.
- Strong background in product engineering with a history of delivering user-facing features or interfaces.
- Capability to work efficiently in uncertain situations and progress rapidly with limited data.
- Technical proficiency to assess designs, conduct code reviews, and influence architectural choices.
- Outstanding communication abilities and a natural inclination for cross-functional collaboration.
