Lead and scale engineering contributions from a global developer community by managing a team focused on empowering external contributors. You'll guide a group of Community Engineers who support code reviews, bug resolution, and ecosystem quality, ensuring smooth integration of community-led work into the core product.
Team & Leadership
Develop and mentor a team of three engineers with diverse responsibilities, from contributor support to technical reviews. Establish clear expectations, performance benchmarks, and growth paths as the function evolves. Play a key role in hiring, onboarding, and shaping the team’s direction in a high-growth environment.
Contributor Experience & Process Improvement
Optimize the end-to-end contribution workflow—identify pain points in pull requests, node submissions, and bug fixes. Build scalable systems using automation, documentation, and tooling to reduce friction and increase contributor success. Ensure all community contributions meet standards for quality, consistency, and maintainability.
Technical Oversight & Collaboration
Stay hands-on with code reviews, debugging, and technical guidance when needed. Partner with product and engineering teams to improve developer tooling, API design, and integration workflows. Advocate for better developer experiences by surfacing recurring issues and driving product-level improvements.
