Lead and shape the future of data engineering for a platform analyzing blockchain activity at massive scale. You'll guide a team of skilled engineers, fostering growth through mentorship while ensuring the delivery of robust, high-performance data systems that support real-time transaction analysis.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and grow a team of data engineers, providing technical direction, coaching, and hands-on leadership across the development lifecycle.
- Own the quality, reliability, and performance of critical data services, ensuring systems meet strict availability and latency requirements.
- Design and maintain scalable ETL pipelines that process petabytes of structured and unstructured data in real time across multiple blockchain networks.
- Architect efficient data models and storage solutions to enable sub-second query responses on vast datasets.
- Oversee deployment and monitoring of large-scale database clusters using modern cloud infrastructure and orchestration tools.
- Collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, and product teams to align data architecture with product goals and roadmap priorities.
- Drive engineering outcomes through measurable KPIs, iterative development, and a focus on high-impact initiatives.
- Respond to operational escalations and lead incident resolution across cross-functional teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying distributed data systems from concept to production.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or SparkSQL, with deep experience across the data engineering stack.
- Familiarity with data stores such as ClickHouse, Postgres, Redis, Neo4j, and ElasticSearch.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools including Airflow, DBT, Luigi, or Azkaban.
- Working knowledge of streaming technologies like Kafka, Spark, Flink, and Storm.
- Experience deploying and monitoring systems using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Datadog in public cloud environments.
- Ability to apply AI/ML tools and workflows to enhance engineering efficiency and data processing.
