As Engineering Manager for Cloud Storage, you'll lead a core team responsible for the foundation of a large-scale cloud platform. Your focus will be on building resilient, high-performance data systems while advancing automation and developer productivity across a distributed environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software and infrastructure engineers, promoting technical depth, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Define and execute the long-term strategy for the storage ecosystem, including architecture standards, capacity planning, and evolution across relational, NoSQL, search, and object storage technologies.
- Design and deliver infrastructure as a product—developing APIs, SDKs, and self-service tooling that reduce complexity for internal developers and accelerate development cycles.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance across all data layers operating at high volume and global scale.
- Drive operational excellence by identifying manual processes and replacing them with automated, reusable solutions.
Qualifications
You bring a strong foundation in both software engineering and infrastructure systems, with a proven ability to lead technical teams through complex challenges. You’ve worked extensively with large-scale data platforms, including PostgreSQL, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redis, OpenSearch, Solr, and object storage solutions.
You understand developer needs firsthand—ideally through maintaining internal platforms, integration libraries, or developer tooling. Fluency in English is essential for collaboration in a global engineering environment.
Hands-on curiosity with AI/LLMs, automation, and modern development tools is valued, especially in the context of improving team velocity and system quality with responsible implementation.
