As an Engineering Manager based in São Paulo, you will lead a team of skilled engineers focused on building robust, scalable backend systems that power global logistics solutions. You'll play a central role in driving the product roadmap forward, aligning technical execution with business goals, and ensuring high-quality delivery across complex, distributed systems.
Leadership & Team Development
You will directly manage a team of engineers, supporting their professional growth and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and inclusion. By mentoring individuals and refining team processes, you’ll strengthen technical excellence and ownership. You’ll also contribute to hiring strategies, helping to build a diverse and capable engineering group.
Collaboration & Execution
Working closely with product managers, business leaders, and cross-functional partners, you’ll define priorities and translate vision into actionable plans. Your ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to evolving requirements will be key to maintaining momentum in a fast-moving environment. Experience collaborating with remote teams across time zones is essential.
Technical Direction
You’ll provide architectural insight and hands-on guidance, particularly in distributed systems, API and data integrations, and performance optimization. While leading strategically, you remain engaged in technical details, offering support where needed and encouraging creative problem-solving.
Qualifications & Mindset
- BS, M.S., or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field
- At least 2 years leading backend engineering teams of five or more
- 7+ years of industry experience in product-driven environments
- Proven experience scaling systems and working in distributed, asynchronous settings
- Fluency in English and experience in B2B product development
- Strong communication skills, humility, and openness to feedback
- A growth mindset and resilience in the face of change
