Help build a next-generation, cloud-based market infrastructure service from the ground up, designed to meet the demands of modern financial markets. This role offers the chance to shape a foundational platform, working closely with technical leadership to deliver resilient, high-performance systems that power critical post-trade operations.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with senior technical stakeholders to define, design, and implement scalable microservices using domain-driven and event-driven architecture principles.
- Take ownership of the full engineering lifecycle—from concept and design through to deployment and testing—ensuring robustness, performance, and maintainability.
- Apply deep technical knowledge in Java 17+ and Spring Boot to develop enterprise-grade services with a focus on clean design and operational resilience.
- Design and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, with deployment on AWS cloud infrastructure including Aurora, MSK, S3, and IAM.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, integrating shift-left testing practices with JUnit, Cucumber, PACT, and Test Containers to ensure quality at speed.
- Work with event streaming platforms like Kafka and message brokers to enable asynchronous, reliable communication across distributed systems.
- Apply best practices in database design using Postgres, with version control managed via Flyway or Liquibase.
- Engage in agile rituals within Scrum or Kanban frameworks, contributing to backlog refinement, sprint planning, and continuous improvement.
- Support secure integration of emerging technologies, including blockchain fundamentals such as consensus models, smart contracts, token standards, and cross-chain interoperability.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, open dialogue, and inclusive collaboration, where innovation and continuous learning are expected.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in microservices architecture, including awareness of trade-offs and failure modes.
- Strong command of object-oriented programming, concurrency models, and data structures in Java.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms—especially AWS—and services such as Aurora, MSK, S3, and IAM.
- Familiarity with cloud networking, security practices, and object storage solutions.
- Understanding of blockchain integration patterns, cryptographic standards, key management, and transaction lifecycle management.
